KS3 Maths/Sciences
We aim at getting the higher levels at KS3 exams for maths & sciences, as they make the right foundation for the GCSEs.
At the centre, pupils attain indepth knowledge of all their subjects. We normally follow the patterns followed by local grammar schools in conjunction with the curriculum of the QCA. All students get intensive training with examination style materials.
This year we had a batch of 38 students who took their KS3 exams. This included 5 pupils who took these exams one year early. We take pride in announcing that as expected, the examination results were outstanding. Of the 38 students that took the Maths exams, 25 acheived level 8, 5 acieved level 7, 4 acieved level 6 and 4 achieved level 5. In science, 28 achieved level 7, 10 acheived level 6.
Pupils who achieved good results will take some GCSE modules in year 10. We have now started the GCSE syllabus in preparation for the modular exams (some exams will start as early as Nov 2007).
